Su Qin, a native of Luoyang in the Eastern Zhou Dynasty, initially sought to persuade the King of Qi but was rejected by the King of Qin. Su Qin then convinced the King of Yan to unite the states and launch a joint attack on Qin. Afterward, he traveled to the west to persuade the King of Qin to do the same, but was again unsuccessful. Su Qin then approached the King of Zhao, and with his persuasion, Zhao agreed to join the alliance. Following this, he went east to persuade the King of Qi, who also agreed to participate in the alliance against Qin. Then, Su Qin again approached the King of Qin, but the king was angry and refused to listen. He next convinced the King of Han to join the alliance. Subsequently, he traveled to the west to persuade the King of Wei, who agreed to join as well. After that, Su Qin went east to persuade the King of Qi again, who agreed to attack Zhao. Finally, he convinced the King of Chu to join the alliance against Qi.
